HISTORY
Welcome to Marble Falls, TX, located in central Texas northwest of Austin on the Colorado River and Lake Marble Falls. Lake Marble Falls is part of the Highland Lakes, the largest chain of lakes in Texas.
Marble Falls was founded in 1887 by former Burnet County surveyor, Adam Rankin Johnson, who had hopes of an industrial city powered by the tumbling river.

The natural lake and waterfall were covered when the Colorado River was dammed with the completion of Max Starcke Dam in 1951, but they still lie beneath our beautiful waters right outside the Hidden Falls Inn.

Today you'll find a quaint main street with shops and restaurants, beautiful nearby golf courses on the lakefront or hillside, and absolutely a lot of fun on the water.
